Animal nutrition and plant-based specialist ICC lends its support to the Brazil South Swine Culture Symposium

Pork meat is doing really well in Brazil. Present in 80% of Brazilian households, as pointed out by the survey conducted by the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA, São Paulo/SP) in partnership with the Market Research and Advice Center (CEAP), recently, consumption per capita reached 16 kg/inhabitant in 2020.

Added to this, the accelerated pace of exports, as seen from January to May of the current year, which balanced high production costs, attest to the strength and commitment of the national swine culture industry to food safety and the vocation of producers to be protagonists when we analyze the projections of the FAO/UN (Food and Agriculture Organization) for 2050, in addition to the role of Brazil in the global population growth.

Given the importance of this chain and always attentive to the value of relevant information for the sustainable development of the sector, ICC, once again, confirms its support in one of the most important meetings of the national swine culture industry, the Brazil South Swine Culture Symposium, and the Brazil South Pig Fair. The West Center of Veterinary Doctors holds the event and Animal Scientists (Nucleovet – Chapecó/SC), which, supported by the success of the virtual event dedicated to poultry farming, will have the online meeting on 10, 11 and 12 August.

“”This is a relevant event for ICC. We have been participating for many years, and it brings us closer to our customers. It also serves as an opportunity to refresh knowledge and updates on the sector”,” highlights the National Sales Manager, responsible for the poultry, swine, and cattle segments in Brazil, Ricardo Barbalho.

ICC’s Commercial Supervisor for the Southern Region, Alexandre Filipe da Silva, says how the participation in the event will take place: “”We will introduce our technologies and information about experiments of our product lines to the market”.” He adds: “”Among the nutritional solutions that we will present, we have Liposorb, a complete emulsifier capable of helping swine farmers to reduce formulation costs in this scenario of high-priced raw materials, such as corn. Another fundamental solution to highlight is Hilyses, a source of free nucleotides and nucleosides that can be a great strategy in partial replacement to the use of plasma in initial piglet diets and periods of great challenges to strengthen the immune response and improve the intestinal health. Finally, we have LysCell, an autolyzed yeast that acts as a functional ingredient, rich in amino acids, short-chain peptides, and glutamic acid, which besides being highly palatable, contributes to the diet’s diversification”.”

It is worth remembering that ICC recently inaugurated its Center for Applied Research in Piglets, located in the Santa Rosa farm in Leme (SP), which has contributed to the company’s research and reinforced its commitment to R&D. “We are a technology company, which is why we support SBSS 2021.
