Tips in Calf Care and Feeding were Taught to Ankara Producers

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Rural Services Department held the 10th animal feeding trainings organized for the purpose of improving animal husbandry in the capital and raising awareness of producers in Elecik District of Akyurt district.

In education; Veterinarian Serdar Sızmaz gave information to dairy producers on many subjects, from the tricks of calf care and feeding to the methods of minimizing calf losses.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to give priority to projects that will support rural development and encourage animal husbandry in the Capital.

The Rural Services Department held the 10th animal nutrition trainings organized in the capital to improve animal husbandry and raise awareness of producers in Elecik District of Akyurt district.

OBJECTIVE: RAISING AWARENESS OF ANIMAL PRODUCERS

With the educational support it provides, the Metropolitan Municipality aims to raise awareness by explaining animal feeding methods to breeders in both rural and central districts of Ankara.

Stating that they provide information to domestic producers on many subjects from the tricks of calf care and feeding to minimizing calf losses, Animal Nutrition and Nutrition Diseases Specialist Veterinarian Dr. Serdar Sızmaz made the following evaluations:

“We are organizing animal nutrition training for our enterprises dealing with agriculture and animal husbandry, especially cattle breeding, here we provide training to increase the level of awareness, change the perspective on animal nutrition, how can we cost a liter of milk and a kilo of meat cheaper, how can we increase the yield, and we will learn the tricks of this. We try to give.”

“ABB WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE DOMESTIC MANUFACTURER”

Stating that they will continue to take into account the needs and demands of animal breeders in the capital, ABB Rural Services Department Veterinarian Nadide Yıldırım said:

“As the Rural Services Department, we are organizing the tenth animal feeding training. In our trainings, we have reached 233 breeders so far. With the trainings we plan to hold in every neighborhood of Ankara, we aim to increase awareness and efficiency in animal nutrition and to improve animal husbandry. We will continue to stand by our producers.”

Stating that the producers became conscious with the trainings organized by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Elecik Neighborhood Headman Hasan İnal said, “The domestic producers in our neighborhood had incomplete knowledge about animal nutrition. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to these trainings.”
