HE WAS LEFT BEHIND WITH A SLEW OF HEALTH ISSUES. HE’S DEAF, BLIND AND HAVING SEIZURES. THE ORGANIZATION SAYS HE’S STARTING TO GET UP AND EAT ON HIS OWN. GI JOE WENT THROUGH SEVERAL

A dog that was left in a box on a porch is being cared for by an animal rescue in Cumberland County.G.I. Joe was unconscious and barely breathing when Speranza Animal Rescue picked him up on Monday. He’s deaf and blind and was having seizures.A note taped to the box said, “I ate something my last owner don’t know what. Please help me. She loves me very much and don’t know how to help me because she doesn’t have any money because she is sick.”Speranza has been posting updates about G.I. Joe on its Facebook page.Despite being in “really bad shape,” the organization said the dog is improving and seems to be a fighter. He was up and eating on Tuesday.He underwent some tests to determine what caused the seizures. Results are expected back on Wednesday morning.
